Open Records Request

Request for Inspection / Copy of Record

  1. Complete this form, providing as much detail as possible about the record(s) you seek. Print and/or save a copy for yourself.
  2. The first hour of time required to collect, review, or manipulate (as in the case of redacting personally identifiable information or other confidential information) shall be at no charge. Time after the first hour shall be charged at $5.00 per quarter hour.
  3. The City Records Manager will contact you with an estimate of any applicable charges, and you will be asked to confirm your request. If estimated charges are more than $50, the City requires a deposit of 50% before work will begin. Cash may be delivered in person. Checks should be made payable to: The City of Grand Junction.   4. If the record is readily available in electronic form, it can be emailed to you or copied onto a CD. Otherwise, you may come to the Clerk's Office at 250 N. 5th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501, during regular working hours to review the responsive record(s).
  5. Charge for copying/printouts/scanning is $.25 per page; duplex copies are charged as two copies but are provided whenever possible.
  6. Charges must be paid at the time of service; the City will not invoice for any services related to Open Records Requests.
