2026 Ash Treatment Program

Evaluation and treatment begins once trees are fully leafed out.

Ash trees make up 20% of Grand Junction trees, and pests are killing these trees at an alarming rate. We are teaming up with SavATree to deliver Grand Junction residents the opportunity to protect their Ash trees against these killer pests.

To qualify for treatment trees:

  • were not treated in 2024 or 2025
  • must be located on residentially zoned lots
  • must be located within the incorporated City limits of Grand Junction
  • must measure 8" in diameter (at a minimum)
  • must exist in a landscape that has clear evidence of stewardship

Trees are also evaluated for general health.  Trees that are already showing signs of stress may not qualify.   There is a $225 minimum fee for treatment (split 50/50 between the resident and the City).  The City will pay up to $500 per address for treatments.

Questions may be directed to SavATree (970) 640-5284.
